Consumer health data

Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

This policy supplements our general Privacy Policy and explains how Shop, Sell & Repair Wheelchair, operated by Buddy Cash LLC, handles consumer health data where Washington, Nevada, or another applicable consumer-health-data law applies.

Effective date: October 15, 2026

We do not sell consumer health data. We collect and use covered consumer health data only as reasonably necessary to provide a product or service you request, for other purposes disclosed here and permitted by law, or with consent when applicable law requires consent.

1. Scope

This supplemental policy applies only to information that qualifies as “consumer health data” or a substantially similar term under an applicable state law. Our business buys and sells wheelchairs and other mobility equipment across the United States and may provide repair or rental services in selected locations.

Information about mobility equipment does not always identify a person's health condition. However, when equipment information, mobility needs, communications, or related details identify or can reasonably be linked to an individual, some state laws may treat that information as consumer health data.

2. Categories of consumer health data we may collect

Depending on what you choose to provide and the service or transaction involved, covered consumer health data may include:

  • Information about a wheelchair, mobility scooter, or other mobility equipment linked to you, including brand, model, serial number, condition, accessories, damage, and service history.
  • Information you voluntarily provide about mobility needs, accessibility needs, equipment fit, use, or functional requirements.
  • Photos or messages that may reveal information about mobility, disability-related equipment, or health-related needs.
  • Repair, rental, delivery, pickup, or service information that may reasonably reveal a mobility-related need.
  • Technical or website-use information that may qualify as consumer health data under applicable law when linked to a request for mobility equipment or services.

We do not ask customers to provide medical records or diagnoses unless information is reasonably necessary for a specific requested service or is otherwise required by law.

3. Sources of consumer health data

We may receive covered consumer health data from:

  • You directly, including through website forms, phone calls, SMS, email, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, photos, or in-person communications.
  • A parent, legal guardian, caregiver, family member, or other person you authorize to communicate with us.
  • Information generated through a purchase, sale, rental, repair, delivery, pickup, or service transaction.
  • Service providers that help us operate our website or complete a service you requested, subject to applicable law.

4. How we use consumer health data

We may collect, use, or process covered consumer health data to:

  • Evaluate equipment you want to sell to us and provide an appraisal or offer.
  • Help identify, sell, deliver, ship, repair, rent, or service mobility equipment you request.
  • Schedule pickups, deliveries, technician visits, rentals, and related appointments.
  • Communicate with you about a transaction, service request, return, refund, or warranty matter.
  • Maintain transaction and service records, prevent fraud or theft, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve our services where permitted by law.

5. Sharing of consumer health data

We may share covered consumer health data only as permitted by applicable law, including when necessary to provide a product or service you requested, when required or authorized by law, at your direction, or with separate consent where applicable law requires it.

Categories of recipients may include:

  • Website hosting, communications, analytics, mapping, payment, shipping, delivery, or technical service providers that process information for us.
  • Technicians or service providers involved in a repair, rental, delivery, or other service you requested.
  • Law-enforcement or government authorities when disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law, including legally required secondhand-transaction reporting.
  • Other persons or entities when you specifically direct or authorize the disclosure.

We do not currently have affiliates with which we share consumer health data for their own independent purposes.

6. We do not sell consumer health data

We do not sell consumer health data for money or other valuable consideration. If our practices change in a way that requires authorization or consent under applicable law, we will provide the legally required disclosure and obtain the required authorization or consent before the sale.

7. Online collection and third-party technology

Our website uses services such as Google Analytics, Google Maps, and Google Fonts. These services may receive online identifiers, device or browser information, pages viewed, session activity, and approximate geographic information when your browser connects to them.

Third-party analytics or technology providers may collect technical or usage information over time and across websites or online services according to their own technologies and settings. We do not intentionally provide medical records or diagnostic information to analytics providers. Where applicable law treats particular online activity as consumer health data and requires consent for its collection or sharing, we will follow the applicable consent requirements.

8. Your consumer health data rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to confirm whether we collect, share, or sell consumer health data about you; access that data; obtain information about certain recipients; request correction; withdraw consent; request that collection or sharing stop; or request deletion.

To submit a request, contact us using the information below and state that your request concerns “consumer health data.” We may take reasonable steps to authenticate your identity and authority to make the request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

If we deny a request and applicable law gives you a right to appeal, you may appeal by replying to our response or contacting us again with the subject “Consumer Health Data Appeal.” We will review the appeal and respond as required by applicable law.

9. Security and retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect covered consumer health data. Access is limited to persons and service providers who reasonably need the information for the purpose for which it was collected or as otherwise permitted by law.

We retain covered consumer health data only as long as reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose and legal obligations. Some transaction records may have legally required retention periods and cannot be deleted until those periods expire.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, technology, legal obligations, or privacy practices change. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. If a material change affects covered consumer health data, we will provide any additional notice or consent required by applicable law before applying the change where required.
